Day 48 of Boot Camp

Wow, a lot has happened today!

I woke up at 6 AM to be a water-girl for my mom and dad's run/walk team. One of the coach's daughter's was there with me. She's 16 years old and I love her. Her name was Song Mein (Don't know how to spell it but I do know it is Chinese). She is SOOOO outgoing! I hope to see her next time I play water-girl. We talked and talked and TAAAALKED the WHOLE 4 hours! We weren't bored until the very end. She knows how to play piano, she's dealt with private and public schools such as myself; she was a ton of fun to be around.

The run/walk team were glad to have gotten to meet me finally. They were ecstatic that there would be TWO water stations this time. People were running/walking full marathons and they appreciated it greatly. Others did only a half. Yet they still were really happy to get 2 breaks.

Afterwards, mom, dad and I left to go pick up the grandparents. We were off to watch Jaylee's, my little cousin, soccer game. It was quick. Only about 30 minutes. My cousin did pretty well. She was a tad scared of the ball but... who isn't? When I played basketball, I HATED the ball! I truly was a hesitant player. Never really wanted to play basketball, but I did it for my folks.

My aunt and uncle and grandpa LOVED my new haircut. Even my cousin commented on it.

During the game, I had to call Mason's aunt back since she called me while I was driving to the church after the run/walk people were done. She had asked if I and Mason would love the chance at taking over their house while her and uncle Troy were away in Hawaii. I heard from Chris about this first. I couldn't BELIEVE it! What a privilege! I mean... they practically own a MANSION that THEY built!!! It's beautiful! Absolutely GORGEOUSLY giant house!

I asked mom. I told her the entire truth. I didn't want to hide details because I guessed she would find out in a snap. Mother's tend to be that good...

And what was her answer?

Her answer was, "Yes."

I called Aunty Amber STRAIGHT AWAY! I was almost speechless! I couldn't flip out too much because there were people around me, however Amber was extremely excited! She went to a funeral and just got home when she heard my voicemail. It made her day. It made my almost-2-months-without-Mason WEEKS!!!!

An hour ago I wrote a letter to Mason telling him the amazing news. I can't WAIT to hear what he has to say about it. I'm sure he'll have to cover his screams of joy. Shoot, I almost exploded myself!!!

God, it's going to be like playing House but ADULT edition!! We won't have to be using a cardboard box!! Hahaha!

Let the good times ROLL!

Water Patterns
In a world of a million water pictures, it's easy to dismiss this as "just another reflection shot." Still, this unedited image proves how unreal water can behave under certain circumstances.
Here I stand at the narrowest point of a small lake, and as usual I have thrown objects into the water to see how it behaves visually. Because the lake was so narrow, only a few meters, the circles started to recoil from land. The effect is called, to my knowledge, interference, but I have yet to see anything similar, even after all these years of throwing rocks into the water.
