Day 138 of San Diego

Oh GOD, I almost fell asleep.

I need to get to sleep right after this, though. Today was a long day.

School was cool. But once I came home, I had a lot of boring homework from two of my classes - NUTR and ENGL. I'm slacking a little bit on SOC since I busted my ass off for it in the previous couple of days. 

Today was my aunt Jill's birthday!!! The family surprised her while Jay and her were out. We sang Happy Birthday and presented her gifts. She loved everything. And she was TRULY surprised when she saw everybody. She kept telling us how she thought everyone forgot about her birthday because nobody had texted her. Haha. 

The family and I just got back from Jay and Jill's. I guess I'm skipping Skype with Mason. I don't know what he's up to. I guess not video games. He would've replied already.

Hopefully he just fell asleep.

Day 137 of San Diego

Another bombing threat at the Boston Marathon finish line. It supposedly happened today on the anniversary of the last years bombing. Police evacuated the scene. It wasn't during a race, thank God. Police detonated the bombs and arrested a suspicious man whom they presume planted the bombs. 

I'm nervous, anxious, paranoid; you name it - for my parents attending the next Boston Marathon. 

I'm not trying to intimidate or provoke the universe, but I don't think life would suddenly make me an orphan. I can't imagine it. It would be unfair. 

Why? That's the question. Why would life do it to me? Life has treated me well. Solid. Balanced. 

I don't think, and I hope, life wouldn't abruptly take my parents' away.

WHEN THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?

Anyway...

My day was a little stressful. I forgot to read a short story in which we were discussing about in ENGL class today. Then in SOC, I didn't know the rules for studying a quiz and I had to guess the entire thing. Oddly - and miraculously - enough, I managed to get a few points. Nowhere close to 100%, mind you...

When I came home, I sent Mason's Easter gift through the mail. When I came home a second time, I jumped into the shower before starting on boring homework...

The homework isn't difficult. It's easy to me. All I do is read and read and write a little and then continue reading about other stuff.

In a sense, I'm glad this quarter is simple. A few things are annoying - like waiting an hour in between classes - but my days are going smoothly and that's what I approve of.

The thing I don't approve of is not being able to play satisfying games with Mason... He's an xBox guy, I'm a Playstation girl. We've tried a few computer games, but they ended up at the sidelines. Minecraft is one of our favorites. Yet we can only play it in multiplayer when he's home (using my Internet connection) I would create a server, but I can't because my IP address is strange compared to other IPs. I'm not sure about configuring my IP to something usable for successfully creating a server. Besides, mom says if we started the project, she wouldn't be able to finish it before the trip to Boston.

Oh yea, by the way, my folks will be gone for a whole week. My dad qualified into the Boston Marathon. His friend qualified, too, but he hurt his leg and had to quit.

Guess who gets to stay in a haunted house... ALONE... for seven days?

Me...

I don't have any rules to break, I'm not a party animal... What will I do? Sleep? Do homework? Shucks, what a vacation away from the parents...

No Minecraft with Mason, no awesome stuff while the parents are gone in Boston...

I'll think of something. You just wait and see!

In a Fog

I'M NOT IN A HURRY TONIGHT, BUT I'M GOING TO WRITE THIS POST IN ALL CAPS AGAIN!

Just kidding. :)

My day was fine. A beautiful day, actually! I spent half of it outside! ... With my laptop on hand, of course. 

I goofed around on my laptop while sucking in some sun rays. My parents suntanned and gardened. 

We had tacos for dinner. That was delicious. 

Dad found a really big Wolf Spider next to his truck. I took a picture of it with caution... 

That's it! That was my Sunday!

I HAVE TO WRITE THIS POST QUICK!!!

I'LL DO IT IN ALL CAPS TO SHOW YOU THAT I'M IN A RUSH!!!

TODAY WAS SATURDAY!!! I DID NOTHING BUT PLAYED ON MY COMPUTER AND WATCHED MOVIES!!!

I ALSO PICKED MY MOM UP FROM THE AIRPORT!!!! SHE WAS ON A BUSINESS TRIP, IF I FORGOT TO MENTION!!! 

GLAD SHE'S HOME!!!

TOMORROW IS SUNDAY!!!

Day 133 of San Diego

My dad purchased tickets to a Mariners game today!!! I didn't even know until an hour after he had told me. I have to set my phone to Airplane Mode or the battery will drain from searching for WiFi. The building my last class (NUTR) is in doesn't allow me to text or even surf the Web. Kind of sucks... But once I turned off Airplane Mode (as I walked to my car), I received texts from my dad, telling me he purchased tickets to a seven o'clock Mariners game!

I wore my Ichiro jersey. :)

Today definitely made up for yesterday night's drama.

The game was spectacular. The Mariners kicked the A's BUTTS!!!! No points for the A's until the seventh inning! Dad and I left around there. We were getting chilly and Felix Hernandez ended his pitching.  

THAT'S RIGHT! FELIX WAS THERE, PITCHING FOR THE MARINERS!!! 

And dad and I were a part of the lucky 25,000 people to get a Felix shirt and a "Happy Felix Day" poster. We're keeping them for good. 

Felix pitched outstandingly. Dad and I witnessed people being hit by foul balls, people catching foul balls, a stadium long wave (caught it on camera), people making airplanes out of the posters and throwing them out in field... All sorts of crazy nonsense!!! 

Dad and I also witnessed a couple homeruns.
