For those of you who haven't seen Oblivion, it stars Tom Cruise. That's all the hints you get!!!
... Okay, Morgan Freeman is in it, too.
There!
I spoil you, don't I?
Today was a good day. No lie. It put a smile on my face. I ran the four miles this morning. I woke up at 7, dressed, doubted I would manage to finish this race, and hit the road. I guessed my period being on full swing meant I would hardly be able to walk. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. The only bummer was the fact that the bathrooms/Honey Buckets were lined up. The race had begun without us. I needed to change my pad. I wasn't about to leak during the run.
Well, mom and I made it before the crowd disappeared around a corner. Dad was already off with the runners. Mom and him ran the half-marathon while I ran four miles, the most I've ever achieved, by my lonesome. It was a struggle. But guess what?
I made it to first place in my age range of 15-19 year olds! Whoot! Give it up for Payton!!!! My parents were stunned. I won an award and a cup. Sweet, right? Dad won second place in his age range. He got an award and a cup as well. I finished in 50 minutes with an average of 11:26/M. Not bad for no training. :)
Mom was struggling worse than I was. She didn't finish on her usual time. Dad and I started to get worried. But by the moment dad was about to run down the race path to find mom, she came in our sights. She told dad that her legs were cramping. She was not ready to run 13 miles. She even admitted that. She's been slacking on her training. No bueno.
Once I got home, I took a shower and napped for an hour. When I woke up, mom cooked me a Dutch Baby, I hung out with Mason on IMVU until watching Oblivion with the folks.
I liked today.
May I please have some more?
