Day 41 of Florida

I HAD a wonderful day today... Had.

Mason and I argued BIG time once I was home... I thought we shouldn't use texting as a communication device, only a notification-type tool. I said I'd allow our Good Morning texts, Good Night texts... random things like those examples. However, I don't want to rely on texting any longer... I want to go "old school" and pick up the phone to have a conversation with somebody. Since my social life is weak, I finally snapped and realized - texting isn't the answer. I put my foot down, sent an email to Mason about what I had decided, before things went downhill for him.

His day was fantastic until reading that email.

My day was great, too! My math class; same ol', same ol'. Same teacher, also. I know a few people from the last quarter AND the previous quarter from that one. The damn room has no windows... It was really warm in there.

I saw my ITAL friend, Omar, while waiting to enter my new math class. We chatted about his weight and how our break was and what classes we were taking. I got a hug from him!! Gosh, I miss affection... Even a hug lifts grief off of my shoulders!

My Astronomy class is... superb... We are being taught in a Planetarium! Never been inside of one. It isn't giant, like most (I guess Planetariums are huge, right?), yet it holds at least 50 students. I think the top spreads open like a blooming flower so you could peer up into the sky. But I didn't know (and I hoped it would have this feature!) there was a large projector in which could make the entire inner portion of the dome's ceiling an AWESOME screen.

If you think IMAX is beyond spectacular, go hang out in a Planetarium and watch films that show you planets and outer space. You would be amazed.

Though I know I'll get a crick in my neck from looking upwards 5 days a week for an hour each day, it's worth it.

I'm familiar with a girl in my Astronomy class who was in my ITAL 122 class. I didn't talk to her much. Only when this other girl would drag me into their conversations and I'd have something to say. The girl is a red head. She's actually really nice. She also gets surprised easily, such as myself, over little details; like how we have a small desk in between our seats that we could swivel upward and lock in place in front of us. It's genius!

Our Astronomy teacher is very cool. Her name is Pat and she likes to hike. I'll get along with her well.

I had a hunch my reading lab class was going to blow... NEVERTHELESS! It's spectacular!! I love how independent it is! The teacher's, who help you out, are really kind and... HUMAN! That's what I adore about my college... Everybody there is REALISTIC. It's as if they've known you from a past life. I'm glad school started up again!

The slight bummer about this quarter is that I come home after 3:30... But I can manage!

I don't think you people want to know about I and Mason's "dispute." All I'll tell is... we're still hurtin' over it... I just wanted to make things simpler and possibly assist our stress but... things got twisted...

Love...

Monte Perdido, Spain

The north face of Monte Perdido in the Spanish Pyrenees. The mountain was masked by the clouds for three days, revealing the glacier occasionally. It was really cold and there was a strong wind; the ambience was very impressive. It reminded me of the world of Tolkien. This place could have been the abode of some ancient gods or giant dragons.
