Day 42 of Florida

Today was a good day. And I'm thankful for it.

My school day was basic. I got my first homework assignments from math. Nothing too bad. Easy stuff that I can handle.

More awesome star gazing this afternoon in Astronomy. I always feel somewhat privileged to have seen something so spectacular before others. Today, the class had gained a few more students. Luckily, they got a chance to see what the projectors could produce on the dome's ceiling above us. Our teacher didn't show the film that we saw yesterday. Instead, she showed us the constellations in the Northern Hemisphere; the constellations in which we can see from Seattle! She would show the "stick-figure" form of the constellation (the lines connected from star to star) until showing the artwork, then finally rotating the view so we could see each constellation.

I friggin' LOVE that class! I don't know if ANY class can top Astronomy.

My reading lab class... eh! It was fine, I guess. Just read some boring stuff and figured out how fast I read and how well my memory is on tough vocabulary words. Very tedious work, though...

I've been talking to my dear friend Scott lately. He's helping me get through these patchy times. MUST be a Ginger thing... ;)

We're going to a local Seattle band's concert in a week. That's going to be fun! I've only been to one concert my whole existence and that was a Destiny's Child concert.

I'll have a blast - I can tell already.

Mason and I are feeling better. We called an hour ago. We didn't talk about our problems; just had an easy-going, free-flowing conversation. That's all I want. That's all I NEED in order to get through my DAYS while he isn't HOME!

He's calling back in 20 minutes. I can't wait!! Hearing his voice calms me. He says it's very soothing to hear my voice, too.

Deer, Czech Republic
I was walking in the field, taking pictures of the winter landscape, when suddenly several deer, frightened by me, jumped out of the nearby bushes and fled. I managed quickly to change the program of my camera and took some panning pictures. Ĺ umava National Park, Czech Republic.
