Day 61 of Florida

Chatting with Mason over the phone.

Does anyone else have an issue with accepting their intelligence? For example, you avoid talking about the subject? I passionately hate discussing about my intelligence because I, personally, don't think I'm too intelligent at all. Nevertheless, I believe I am on my own level of intelligence while, say, Mason is on HIS own level of intelligence. Yet I think Mason is BEYOND smarter than myself... We always bicker about that...

Anyway, my day was fine. Another lazy day. I had no homework over the weekend, which was nice. A couple hours ago, the family and I hung out with the grandparents.

Did I ever share with you readers about my grandparents having their own radio station? Mom and Uncle Jay were alive at that time, too. They would constantly call states or COUNTRIES around the world and chat with spontaneous people. The radio sucked up a mile radius in their neighborhood. The watts would take out the color in color television! (Mind you, this was during the '70s) According to grandpa J, they owned the second biggest radio station on the Northwest (I don't know if that's in JUST Washington or on the NW of the U.S.A.) The BIGGEST radio station was in Enumclaw. Grandpa and them knew that guy. They would hang out and call radio stations across the U.S. or across the globe.

The freaky thing about grandpa J's and grandma J's radio was that it would pick up a frequency from the GMT. The radio would be completely shut off yet it would suddenly turn on, do a BONG noise, prior to telling the GMT time in a metallic voice. Afterwards, the radio would simply turn off again. Nobody else was able to hear that frequency. The grandparents even called up the University of Washington and THEY were baffled. Too odd.

Sadly, the old folks don't have the radio anymore. The FCC kept taxing them outrageous amounts of money to keep them on the air. So, they had to give the gig up.

I need to see some pictures of the hunk of metal. I think I would have a blast with a piece of technology similar to that.

I suppose this is all I have to say. I'm going to get back to my honey now. Take care everyone.

P.S: Possible Earths out in the universe a couple galaxies away? Here's the link.
